So sorry...Zumba Gold will be cancelled at noon on this day! All other classes are GO, and Zumba Gold will resume on Tuesday, February 22!

Thursday Update

There has been a Thomas sighting this morning at the Health Club, so if you are wondering...he is there! Katy will also be at the HC at noon for Zumba Gold! We are going to go out on a limb and suggest that all classes are back ON and running regularly. If you can back out of your driveway and down your street safely, come work your cabin fever off!

Wednesday Afternoon Update

Thanks to all who are checking in! Please feel free to leave comments so that we can help provide any information you need! 4:30 Turbokick is ON with our birthday girl, Lauri; 5:30 Cardio is ON with Kristy; and 6:30 Yoga is ON with Ginger!!! The nursery will be OPEN again this afternoon! Enjoy the gorgeous snow!!!!

Wednesday Update

Good morning! It is a beautiful, snowy day!!! The Health Club is open, the nursery will be open. The 9:00 step class and 5:30 cardio class are ON. Other classes may also be on, but we have not been able to receive confirmation yet. As we get information, we will continue to share! Of course, you may call the Health Club for additional questions. We are still in the early stages of making this blog as effective as we can, so THANK YOU for your patience as we build it!!!

Saturday Morning, February 5, 2011

All classes are GO for Saturday morning! If you can get to the Health Club safely, come Spin with Garold at 7:00 a.m., Zumba with Lauri at 9:15, and/or Step with Katy at 10:30! We may not be able to melt the snow, but we can definitely melt some of those "cabin fever" calories away! If we don't see you, stay safe, and let us know how we can make this blog helpful to YOU.

Welcome to the Health Club Cardio Program! We are excited that you are interested in our group fitness classes. We hope that you will find a variety of formats that will help you achieve your personal fitness goals. We always welcome your questions and suggestions! Please take a few minutes to read our class descriptions.

2011 Spring Classes!!!

  • Combo Step—A step class which strings together combinations of moves on the step. Patrons are encouraged to have previous step experience before attending this class.
  • Power Step—An advanced-level step class, longer in length. The class combines the format of both the Cardio Step and Combo Step classes. Previous step experience is necessary.
  • Zumba!An eclectic, dynamic mix of simple-to-follow, FUN, dance moves from around the world!
  • Zumba Crunch—A NEW cardio dance + muscle crunching resistance class. You will work every muscle!
  • Zumba Gold—Zumba, specifically designed for the senior population and those new to fitness!
  • BOSU Blast—A strengthening and cardio class using the BOSU semi-circle balls. You’ll love it.
  • BOSU+Core Pole—Time will fly when you workout on these two full-body pieces of toning and cardio equipment!
  • Spin—An intense aerobic workout on our spin bikes. All levels of fitness welcome! (Classes are listed as 1, Beginner; 2, Intermediate; 3, Advanced). Spin+Crunch+Stretch incorporates weights, core, and yoga into a 90-minute workout.
  • TurboKick—A new class incorporating choreographed boxing drills with heart-pumping music!
  • Pilates—A series of stretching and toning moves designed to improve flexibility and remove spinal stress.
  • Yoga—A series of postures designed to improve flexibility and strength, while also decreasing daily tension and life stress.
  • Pump + Crunch—Anaerobic workout utilizing bells, bars, bands, and balls. Cardio drills may be added. (With cardio, the class becomes Pump + Crunch Plus)
  • Seniors Aerobics—A class involving low-impact aerobics and chair-based toning. Improves cardiovascular fitness, strength, and flexibility.
  • Silver Sneakers—A seniors class, completely chair-based, designed to improve strength, mobility, and flexibility. A Secure Horizons-sponsored fitness class.
  • Seniors Yoga—A chair-based yoga class, designed specifically for the needs of seniors.
